When you think about United Way of South Central Missouri, what comes to mind? For lots of folks, the answer is fundraising. There's a good reason for that. It's true that United Way of South Central Missouri raises money for emergency food and shelter, child-abuse and neglect prevention, youth character development, senior citizen nutrition, community health care and many other services provided by 20 partner agencies and nonprofits serving South Central Missouri in Dent, Maries, Phelps and Pulaski counties.
But it takes more than money to build a community. It takes people. With your help, United Way has the ability, to achieve civic goals that no single donor, citizen, nonprofit or charity could accomplish alone. Dedicated community volunteers provide the leadership. Caring partner agency staff members provide the support. It's a winning combination that allows United Way to:
